Great food. Had to try it after seeing Popcorn's documentary. Service was a little slow, but it's the south, I'm fine with the southern pace of things.
We stumbled upon the restaurant after discovering the place we sought out had closed for the season. We were pleasantly surprised and impressed with food and staff. Very friendly and personable! We both had the fried chicken and it was like Sunday lunch at Grandma’s. Fried chicken dinner consisted of 3 mixed pieces and 2 sides. I had mashed potatoes and cabbage. My wife had macaroni and cheese and green beans. We ate and enjoyed every bite. Best part of all — the price. Both meals and tip came to well under $30. This is great local food at fair price. We look forward to visiting again.

First day visit we got seated right away. Staff is very friendly. I had eggs, French toast, & country ham. My husband had eggs, country ham, biscuits & gravy. Our order came quickly and was delicious. As I am writing this we are back for another breakfast. As Saturday mornings go, it's crowded and we have a bit of a wait. Will let you know how long. Our wait was only about 10 minutes. Eggs, bacon, pancakes, and it was delicious once again...great food, servi e, and staff!
Here while driving through. Saw a bunch of cars on Sunday and said to my wife "looks like people know something I don"t" and we stopped in. I had a whole fried trout, eggs, fried potatoes, and sausage gravy and biscuits. She had the liver mush sandwich (only 26yo woman I know who would go out of her way to try it). Both were good. The service was friendly, and it was clean as a diner can be. If I'm around Maggie Valley again, I'll return.
