I wish I could give this "business" negative stars. There are no words to describe how unprofessional and horrid this company is. We are home owners who have been using Carolina Vacations to rent our house in Spring Lake Estates, and unsatisfactory doesn't even begin to cover the experience we have had with them. We have (on several occasions) attempted to have our issues with them resolved only to be met with rude and unprofessional behavior from every employee. They claim that after every visit the house will be thoroughly cleaned by housekeeping. This is not the case. Every single time we go up to enjoy our home it is not only unclean, but worse than the last time we were there. On this occasion (7/31/17) we found a pair of shoes, THREE coke bottles with tobacco dip in them, and that one of our downstairs mattresses had been absolutely ruined by previous guests spilling the coke/dip mixture all over it. In addition, we are missing multiple items that no one can seem to account for, and that we were not notified as missing/stolen by housekeeping or management. These items include: a stool, several pillows, a blanket, and cups. The "housekeeping" also seems to be completely inept, not understanding how to put things back where they're supposed to be. Without fail, every time we visit, rugs are in the wrong place, furniture is put in closets, and dishes are out of sorts. Not to mention everything from windowsills to countertops are dusty and grimy, what are we even paying for??? We will be moving our house to Remaxx as soon as possible. We have put up with this insanity for too long. These people are CROOKS. Our last attempt at resolution today ended up with an employee coming in right as we were about to leave (it was 4:15 and the office was empty - their hours state they close at 5), who told us "he wasn't about to stand here for an hour and talk about our problems". He was extremely rude, maybe mid-50's with silver hair. DO NOT rent from these people or let them rent out your house. You would be better off with anyone else.
I'm very disappointed in how my deposit and my property left behind have been handled. It has been three weeks almost four and I still don't have my deposit and my property was sent general mail not even sent over night or priority mail. I have been blown off and lied to by Sid the office manager. The cabin we rented was Vally Vista, a very nice home but you could tell its not being care for as it should be. I emailed the owner and my suggestion is to find another business to manage the rental of her home who will better manage it and treat her guess better. RENTERS BEWARE!!!

We would like to say how pleased we are with this company because business transactions are dealt with in a professional and fair way. Deposits are returned to renters when the rental property is checked afterwards and the property is left in good condition. We like working with Sid because he communicates with us about details that may need attention and coordinates with housekeepers, spa maintenance and repair contractors. He makes sure the renters and the property owners have fair treatment.
